Between Darkness and Light by Linda M. Bronski - This exhibit will be in the Jane Sandelin Gallery.
"A space in time or a time in place. From the Alpha to the Omega. The grey area. Twilight. Dawn. It is this “ in between” place and what happens there that commands my attention and ignites my imagination.
This exhibition is my exploration of the inner human condition, where painting is the language I use to capture experiences along my journey in the still of the night or with a new sunrise.
On this walk of life, I observe the balances and find my way to the heart of the matter, my own rite of passage. Discovering the greatest love is in the moment. This moment. Now. Where I believe authentic alchemy is practiced. My perpetual plea for peace gently lifts the shadows off my dreams once broken, and I remove the lines from my face and rise above enigmatic emotions to a state of grace.
My voyage from square one to the I of the Eye Am." - Linda Bronski
Hands On by Anne B. Burnley - This exhibit will be in the Centre Gallery, West.
"The invitational exhibit ‘The James River, A View From Legend Brewery’ served as the platform for me to develop this suite of images. My on-site photographs, Plein Air paintings, collage endeavors, watercolor paintings and meetings with other participating artists presented me with an array of experiences and subject matter to consider. In the end, I put my ‘hands on’ a variety of media to produce images that are intended to convey the energy that I felt while viewing the skyline of Richmond, Virginia, the James River, with it’s Class IV, fall-line rapids and the patrons of the Legend Brewing Company from its open-air patio and indoor pub."
WTF by Deshia Williams - This exhibit will be in the Skylight Gallery. "W T F! That was artist Deshia Williams’ horrified and broken-hearted reaction to the murder of 49 innocent people in the Orlando’s Pulse Night Club. Gunned down in their safe space simply for being themselves, following their hearts and dancing to their own rhythms. And now their families, friends and scores of others across the U.S. are left with a ragged pit of grief, rage and bitterness in their guts. a stranger chose to kill those he didn’t understand and so now Deshia Williams is trying to process her grief through her craft.
STOP THE HATE!"
Libby Clark Recent Works - This exhibit will be in the Centre Galery East. “The Bachelor in Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University set my course in photography.
