LIFE AS ART by Libby Clark
This exhibit will be in the Centre Gallery, West. Libby depicts artists at work in this new exhibition. "...My hope is for the prints in this show to be of individuals 'doing what they love.' Photography is about capturing the moment. However, I feel that in recording living subjects, it is also about capturing what distinguishes the individual."
THE JAMES RIVER: As Seen Through Young Eyes
Art Works is a member of The James River Advisory Council. The gallery is only three blocks from the river. The river is easily accessible and offers a rich source of subject matter for our artists, for the individual walking or jogging and for fishing and relaxing. The JRAC suggested that we have an exhibit about the James, so this August, we are taking children from our youth programs to the river for a plein air painting session. The results of this excursion will be an exhibit of their work in the Skylight Gallery.
AUGUST ALL-MEDIA SHOW
Each month Art Works offers artists from all over to participate in a juried art show. Dalhia Cavazos will jury the show. Submissions are accepted from any artist and any medium. Call for Entries is on August 21st and 22nd, 2015 from 12pm - 6pm at Art Works.
