The Day After Thanksgiving Art Affair
Start your holiday season at Art Works with a special shopping experience far from the crowds and chaos. We'll have hot cidar, cookies and tea, special handmade gifts, door prizes and even a holiday card mini-retreat.
Starting at noon, in the main gallery and hallways - artisans and fine craftsmen will be displaying and selling unique and innovative artwork and gifts – all $50 and under.
You’ll find soaps, candles, glass, pottery, books and jewelry by Crystal Neilson-Hall, Sherry Siewert, Stephen Lewis, Linda Vegas, Josi Hopkins, Nello Bazichi, Maria Galuszka and Chivon Thome.

Join in the Holiday Card “Mini-Retreat”
Experience a day of creativity by making your own holiday cards. From 12 pm - 5 pm, we’ll provide some inspirational presentations.
And there will be handmade cards for sale by local artists. Then sit and address your cards in one of our galleries setup to provide a peaceful, quiet space. Enjoy hot cider, tea and cookies. These can be the first “gift” of the season of light. Remember to bring your address book. We’ll even have stamps.

LIFE: Relics and Rhythms by Elizabeth D. Schafer
A Originally from Illinois, now living in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi – a place bursting with art and music, Liz describes herself as a “painter of music”. When you see her work, you’ll understand completely. High color, movement and energy flow from her paintings.
The exhibit will be in the Jane Sandelin Gallery.
FRIENDS I NEVER REALLY KNEW - photography of people and places from near & far by Dick Pitini
Dick grew up in southwest Virginia where he learned to take photographs using film and developed them in a bathroom turned darkroom! He has moved to digital and travels and photographs much of the world. The exhibit will be in the Centre Gallery, East.
DOROTHY ELLIS RECENT WORKSAfter 27 years as an art teacher in Northern Virginia, Dorothy retired in Richmond. A former member of "The Loft Gallery, Occoquan, Virginia, "The Art League", Torpedo Factory, Alexandria and the Washington Print Makers Gallery, Washington, D.C. Dorothy now maintains a studio at Art Works as well as one at Plant Zero. She likes sharing the responsibilities of bringing art to the general public. This exhibit of paintings will be in the Centre Gallery, West.

EUROPEAN CHRISTMAS MARKET by Bill GilmoreThis exhibition focuses on the Christmas Markets in Munich, Germany; Leipzig, Germany; Dresden, Germany; Strasbourg, France and Paris, France. The 20 photographs in the exhibit depict the various Christmas markets activities, Christmas store front displays and the extensive Christmas street decorations in these cities. The Christmas celebrations in the United States do not compare to the European Christmas celebrations. For at least 2 weeks, Christmas markets in these cities are constantly selling various food, drinks,and all kinds of merchandise, even birdhouses. Christmas markets are very popular in Europe and most villages, cities and towns will have a market. The exhibit will be in the Corner Gallery.
NOVEMBER ALL-MEDIA SHOW
