Spaceships, Leaf Women and Other Tailz by Vicki Bruner, Jordan Bruner and Barry Bruner

It’s an artists’ collaboration by the Bruner family: Vicki, Barry and Jordan.

Vicki Bruner: You’ve seen her artwork in the VMFA, in group and one-woman shows up and down the East Coast, including the famous New York Art Expo and the prestigious Coconut Grove Arts Festival. Vicki has been listed on the "Who's Who in American Art". In November of 1996, she was named by the U.S. Arts as "one of the leading whimsical artists in the country today." We’ve had a sneak preview of her work for this show and as usual, we’re blown away with her creativity and imagination!

Barry Bruner: Vicki’s son grew up in Virginia Beach but spent most of adult life in Richmond. He now resides in NY and loves it. He’s addicted to WNYC, cooking, music and biking". His illustrations range from humorous, satirical to dark.

Jordan Bruner: Vicki’s daughter also grew up in Virginia Beach and now resides in NY. She travels extensively. Travel, mythology and surprising narratives make Jordan’s work unique, while her illustration style gives her commercials, music videos, and short films a strong sense of her voice.

Waterfalls and Rivers by Richard Summrs

Richard Summers brings us work painted over a ten-month period that transitions from realistic landscapes to color-and-light renditions. He has discovered that painting the effect of light on subject matter is more important than focusing entirely on the subject itself. The exhibit will be in the Centre Gallery, West.

In Memory of Darryl Reese
