The monthly 4th Friday Art Show will open May 25, 2007 with a reception by the artists, music by the Orderlies, in the Jane Sandelin Gallery and dance by To the Earth - Tribal Fusion Dance.

Journey of Discover by Dr. Bill Sabino This exhibit is a collection of new paintings by Dr. Sabino. Dr Sabino lives in Smithfield, Virginia and is a resident artist at Art Works. He and his wife travel extensively where he captures the landscapes and figures of each place - abroad and in the United States.

Senior Class 2007 - Henrico High School Arts Program
Each year the senior class of the Henrico High School Arts Programs exhibits their work for the year. The technical quality of their work is outstanding and the artwork is varied and imaginative. Mary Seurlock is the instructor. Here is a sampling of the student artwork.

Moving to the Country Paintings by Linda Barnett

As you can gather by the title of this exhibit, Ms. Barnett has left the city and now lives in the country. This show is a collection of paintings inspired by her new environment. Ms. Barnett has exhibited in Art Works' All Media Shows and this is her first solo show here.

Thinking Sideways on the Southside by M. Bernard Champa Mr. Champa is a photographer and this exhibit features imagery of the south of Richmond. He recently exhibited in Petersburg, Virginia and this is his first solo exhibit in Richmond.

To the Earth - Tribal/Fusion Dance This dance tribe maintains a studio at Art Works where they give classes. The exhibit in the Skylight Gallery features costume, artifacts, a series of photographs documenting their performances. On opening night they give performances as well as lessons to the guests who wish to join in.
